Happy Halloween!

Halloween has always been one of my most favorite holidays. I've (almost) always made the kids costumes, lately I've been slacking ;)
In the past we've done: mermaid, robot (twice), rapunzel, dracula, clown, fish and fisherman, witch, gnome, and a cowboy. This year we're going as a 50's style carhop complete with roller skates (totally her idea), hockey player, and one undecided. Squirt is very opposed to dressing up this year, he won't keep any costume on for more than a minute! He has three choices though... skeleton, spiderman, or Buzz Lightyear. I think the idea of missing out on the candy will convince him to just wear the freaking costume :)

I'll leave you with photos of our trip to the pumpkin patch. A *very* late in the season pumpkin patch, it's very Oklahoma ;) Photo by Squirt himself.

Squirt chose the *perfect* pumpkin. We've been reading (and re-reading and re-reading) this book, The Littlest Pumpkin. Poor little pumpkin doesn't get chosen by any of the visitors to the farm stand, all he wants is to be turned into a jack-o-lantern! I won't give away the ending but it's happy :)
Anyways, he went with the sole purpose to find "The Littlest Pumpkin" and fulfill it's Halloween destiny. Awfully sweet :)

Progress (?)

Remember these stacks of pouches-in-the-works? Well this is only how far I've gotten with them! Fronts and backs done, matched up with zippers and coordinated lining.

That is sad for almost 2 months! I've had a ton of custom orders and did two sets of monkeys in the middle. Oh! There are 30 bags there, 30! Why I choose to go completely overboard I don't know, can't help it :)

Next stage is buttons! Truly the hardest part because 1) I have quite alot of buttons to look through and 2) I have to convince myself that the button is better off on the cute bag than in a jar on my shelf.

So Stoked!

My new business cards came in yesterday! They are so perfect :)

Design by bannerlover. An absolute dream to work with. I ask for a coffee cup with a smiley face, bam! there it is. Awesome!
I ordered two sets, one with a monkey and the other with a mini-zip. These suckers are thick and shiny as all get out. Double sided and rounded corners cost a wee bit more but totally worth it! OvernightPrints btw :)

Waste not

I'm seriously obsessed with not wasting any of these book pages! I made up some little envelopes for buttons and business cards. I love free templates on the internet :)
I also made up some new hang tags for sock monkeys using some of the pages. Any more ideas?

Christmas Monkeys and Grilled Cheese

These two sweethearts were a custom order, I love how they turned out! The patches on the front are super fun :) Some reason they remind me of the big white bear my sister got for Christmas one year, it had a big 1988 or something on it. Things with dates are fun :)

And I took this photo of Little Squirt's lunch yesterday. I don't usually take photos of food but it was just too pretty :)

Yes, I know, I out do myself... Grilled Cheese! How Fancy!
