Serging up a storm

 

This is my day! Serging monkey bits. Getting ready early (waaaaay early) for Deluxe in December. This summer will be full of packing and moving and complete chaos. 

So I'm sewing now because I won't have time later :)

I gotta say I'm a wee bit unsure about next month's bag. All that pleating! I can't imagine what print I'd want to do that to. So don't hold your breath for a home-run next month, might be closer to a train-wreck :)

Origami Bag Set - Complete!

--- Just a day later than I promised! In my defense, my daughter and I worked 16 hours this weekend selling Girl Scout cookies at various booths. Those girls are such troopers :) ---

So here we are! All six bags, fabrics are 100% from my existing stash:

Nesting nicely. How bout that hot pink on the inside?! Sear your eyeballs right out :)

 And the embroidery!

 I love it :) I think a touch of embroidery is just what was needed to perk up such a big space.

Little bit of stitching...

Jazzing up the XL Origami Bag with a lil Sublime Stitching. I love the anatomical heart with all the bright Dia de los Muertos-esque prints. I do love me some fat stitches! 

This will be the sixth bag in the set. Six. Seems like a lot for one giveaway but I would kinda hate to break up the set (like they're puppies or something, gah what a sap!).
I'll have to give it some thought :)

March's Bag(s) - Origami Bag Set

Zipper Pouches! I could so totally do these in my sleep. Relief :)
Like the little tab on the side and the flat bottom.
The XL is really really XL for a pouch, though so far everything Amy Butler has been pretty XL.
Fabric is 100% pulled from my stash, nice!

All mixed and matched, will probably be using a hot pink cotton on the insides.
These will be another Giveaway, I do not have room in my life for another zipper pouch :)
